Family Class Sponsorship

Reunite with your family in Canada.

Family reunification is one of the pillars of Canadian immigration. If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with loved ones abroad, family class sponsorship lets you bring them here as permanent residents. Spousal sponsorship is the route we prepare most, and the one where careful documentation matters most.

Question one

Can you sponsor?

The basic requirements to be eligible as a sponsor:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
  • Plan to live in Canada when your sponsored family members immigrate.
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Have the financial means to provide for yourself and your sponsored family members.
Question two

Who can you sponsor?

The family class covers three groups:

Spouse, common-law or conjugal partner

The person you share your life with, married or not. Spousal sponsorship is the file we prepare most.

Dependent children and grandchildren

Bringing the next generations to Canada with you.

Parents and grandparents

The generations that raised you, home for good.

How we help

How we help

Sponsorship files live or die on relationship evidence and completeness.

Eligibility is only the entry ticket. What decides the file is how the relationship and the finances are documented, from photographs and messages to joint accounts and timelines. A licensed consultant prepares the evidence to the standard the decision maker expects before the file ever leaves the door.

Questions

Sponsorship questions families ask us.

Who can be a sponsor?

A Canadian citizen or permanent resident, 18 years of age or older, who plans to live in Canada when the sponsored family members immigrate and has the financial means to provide for themselves and the people they sponsor.

Which family members can I sponsor to Canada?

The family class covers three groups: your spouse, common-law or conjugal partner; dependent children and grandchildren; and your parents and grandparents.

How long does family sponsorship take?

Processing times are set by IRCC and vary by route and country. What we control is that the file is complete, correct and properly documented the first time, which is where avoidable delay usually comes from.

What decides a sponsorship file?

Eligibility is only the entry ticket. Files live or die on how the relationship and the finances are documented, and a licensed consultant prepares that evidence to the standard the decision maker expects before it leaves the door.
